What is needed for ski practice?
What days and times are Junior Nordic ski practice?
Practice Schedule
We will meet on Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to approximately 4:30 pm at a designated trail (most often Ski Hill or Talkeetna Lakes Park). Finish times on touring days depend on the length of the trails we ski. Parents will be notified in advance of any changes to practice start/end times or locations.
Season Dates
Jr. Nordic season dates are TBD. The season begins in January 2027.
Is transportation available?
Parents will be in charge of getting their skier to and picking their skier up from the ski site. Carpooling is essential for parents who have to work, so if you are a parent that can drive at that time and can take extra skiers in your vehicle, that would be appreciated by all!
Should I pack a snack for my child?
PLEASE let me know if your child is allergic to an ingredient!
Midway through practice we will have hot drinks and snacks. If you can volunteer to bring snacks once this season (or send them with someone else) please sign up on the Denali Junior Nordic Snack Sign Up Sheet.
